¿Alguna vez han terminado un día pensando que no fue para nada como ustedes lo habían planeado por la mañana? Eso me pasó este fin de semana.
Cuando desperté el domingo, recordé que probablemente ese sería el último día que tendría disponible para ir al Gran Remate de Libros del Auditorio Nacional. Ya había ido una vez, pero tenía que volver por un par de libros en especifico que vi y no pude comprar.
En fin, llegue al Auditorio e inmediatamente busque lo que iba a comprar. Por supuesto, no lo encontré y mejor fui a sentarme y ver lo que había en el pequeño escenario se presentaban tanto conferencias como conciertos.
En ese momento tocaba una banda que nunca supe cómo se llamaba pero que el programa anunciaba como Sebastiano Urquieta. Tal vez era solista, de todas formas me pareció una banda entretenida y me quede hasta el final.
Para entonces, pasando de lado a lado entre el público, vi a un par de chicas con discos de vinil en su cabeza. Supuse que tendría que ver algo con el siguiente show así que decidí quedarme a verlo pero antes (mientras se hacia el cambio en el escenario) ir a dar una vuelta y ver que más había.
Mala idea. Cuando regresé, el pequeño espacio donde hace cinco minutos había diez personas estaba lleno. Pero aun así quise tomar algunas fotos.
La banda se llamaba Snowapple y estaban acompañadas de una parte de Polka Madre. El concierto fue excelente. Una gran combinación de estilos que iba desde el jazz hasta la opera. Además de que el estilo en el vestuario de todos en el escenario era muy fresco y original.
Una gran presentación sin duda. Después de que terminaron de tocar decidí comprar uno de sus discos, pero ya no había (Comienzo a notar un patrón aquí). Me senté a acomodar mis cosas y cuando estaba listo para irme, se me acerco un chico que era parte del equipo de Snowapple para invitarme a su segundo show del día, que sería en el centro.
Siendo domingo en la tarde pensé “¿Por qué no?” y así comenzó…

That happened to me this weekend.
When I woke up on Sunday I remembered that I had to go to the "Gran Remate de Libros del Auditorio Nacional" because probably that as the last day I could go.
I had been there already but had to go back for some books I couldn't afford last time.
Anyway, when I got there the books I wanted were gone (Of course!).
Sad, I went to see what was happening on the stage where they programmed lectures and concerts.
There was a band playing. They were announced as Sebastiano Urquieta but I'm not sure that was their name. Perhaps it was a solo band. They were pretty good so I stayed.
By the end of their show, I saw a pair of girls with vinyl discs attached to their heads hopping around the crowd. I supposed it'd had something to do with the later show so I decided to go look around the book fair while they were ready and comeback.
Bad idea. The place was crowded when I came back. But I wanted to take some photos so I took out my camera and started.
The band was called Snowapple and they were joined on stage with members of Polka Madre. It was an excellent concert. A tasteful combination of styles which ranged from jazz and bossa to opera. Also their outfits were beautiful. Fresh and original.
As I said, it was an awesome show. After they finished I wanted to buy their CD but there were none anymore (I notice a pattern here). I was about to go when this guy, who I supposed was part of Snowapple's team (and he acctually was, but more of that will be told on the second part of this article), invited me to their second show of the day.
Being a sunday afternoon I thought "Why not?" and so it began...
